Germany Travel Guide

Whether you are traveling to Germany for the first time, or whether you have been there before, you should know that there will be no dearth of things for you to act, and places for you to observe. This is a country steeped in rich history, arts and culture, even the outdoors is spectacular – and the attractions in Germany are plentiful.

When you are in Germany, you should definitely check out Neuschwanstein Castle – this is one of the mainly well-known castles of Germany, and single of the three which were specially made by King Ludwig II. The Castle overlooks the Hohenschwangau valley. You might notice that the Castle bears a strong resemblance to Sleeping Beauty’s Castle in Disneyland – it’s because this Castle’s design was used as inspiration by Walt Disney! So there’s an interesting bit of trivia for you. This Castle took almost 16 years in the making by hundreds of artisans from all over the world – but it was left incomplete. But you are still sure to marvel at the alabaster walls and the sweeping turrets – this is one of the best tourist attractions.

The city of Berlin is a must-see. You can see leftovers of the Berlin Wall in many places of the capital. Don’t forget to check out the final enduring entry – Brandenburg Gate, which is set up beside the western last part of Unter den Linden road. If you are interested in Prussian history, check out Charlottenburg Palace – which is the most aged existing Prussian citadel. You must also take the time to check out the Soviet combat monument, and the statues which bear mark of respect for the Russian defense force that lost their lives fighting Hitler. The capital city of Germany also has a remarkable zoo which is home to more than 13,000 unusual types – so you must check that out as well.

When you are in Germany, you should definitely check out the Romantic way – it’s more than 220 miles long, and extremely picturesque. It winds through walled towns and villages, as of the north River Main headed for the Alps in the south, you would be interested to know that originally, and it was a traffic road in Middle Ages. You will be able to see history remnants of that period – like ancient churches and Gothic cathedrals. There are also many pretty little country inns, and you can walk through adventurous sprawling forests.

You should not leave Germany without visiting at least one awareness camp out, which serves as a reminder of its dark, painful history among all the brightness and happiness that visitors usually see. Also you may head to the meditation camp Dachau, which provided as a teaching location for others like Auschwitz in Poland. You can take the guided tour to understand the atrocities that went on during that period.

Don’t forget to look at Lake Constance – which is the largest and most prominent marine vacationer draw in Germany. The Lake is shared with Switzerland and Austria, and you’ll love the thin, hot waters.
